Afaik all shops are running on either tmwchat plugin for emacs or manachat. Sometimes trade window closes by itself and you need to make a trade another time. Maybe the glitches are because of packet loss, idk. That's what another fellow shop owner says about the possible reason:
I've noticed trade errors occasionally, like where a player confirms and accepts trade before the shop adds the item. With tmwchat, the trade messages are logged, so sometimes i could tell when that happens and refund the player. Manachat doesn't log those messages though. Well actually tmwchat logs to a buffer in emacs, not to a file, but the buffer data can be saved.
So, i totally understand being upset on such a glitch. But in any case, it's not the reason to make groundless statements, spam everyone's shops and so on. If I would have been asked, I would tell him who to talk about Needfull Things, it's not a big secret after all and everyone who is really curious can find it out.

It's not the bot's fault but rather the player's fault. The trade system has a failsafe. First the two parties put in trade what they want, then they both need to confirm, then they accept. If one of the two parties changes the items (or money) after confirmation, both parties need to confirm AGAIN before accepting the trade. This means even if a bot were to sneakily remove the items riiiiiiiiight before you click accept, you would need to re-confirm before accepting. This means the buyer paid no attention to the trade and just clicked the buttons without checking.
