Background music offer

[Split from this thread.]

I can offer some of my music to be used for the game background without royalties (unless there are royalties collected by someone else because of me stating this, then I request them) for the specific purpose of this game, but it means that I keep the rights to my music, and that I can still use it in other areas when required.

Is this suitable? See riffs and bits of riffs I've made I keep and use at a later date when the pieces all fall together nicely, so I'd be shooting myself in the foot if I went creative commons with them. Still, I can make a specific agreement with you if you'd like to consider it.

By joining any Developer groups you agree to release your art under this license.
I'm afraid the same will apply to sound/music work.

Also, please try not to go off-topic. in the Development section.
If you like you can always start a new post for undiscussed topics

This was a split from a player talk section, so it's all ok. ^^

The graphic rule apply also to our sound development. In clear, you keep all right to your work, but we can use it as we wish until that we say that it's yours and that we redistribut on the same license.
Is it ok?

I would highly recommend accepting such terms with individuals who produce great art!

I'll try to open up the licence to make it work. I'd love to have a share in the development, but I need to know what I'm doing, so please let me peruse the licence agreement, and I can see if I can make it successful.

Thanks for all the information to all of you too. Give me a week or so, and I'll get back to you.

I highly agree with Socapex.
Speiros's work and alike would be then distributed under Image

The NC is not accepted for Evol Online, will need to manage to use the CC BY-SA 3.0 or any free and libre license from creative commons.

If you feel like you're going to want to gain from your songs' copyrights later, then don't change the licence.
This does mean that we won't be able to use them for Evol.
However, you can still contribute some compositions specificly made for the project, which obviously should abide by the licencing guidelines.
