GIMP 2.8.10 released!

A new version of GIMP has been released recently, though, Debian is at two versions old from this... But it's already available on Windows and MacOS.
A little note, GIMP is the graphical editor that most/all of the dev team is using, I might update this thread with bug and major changes that they do to know if we should (or not) upgrade our versions.

Lol, you know that's provocation bringing up Mac OSX this way in a topic reidy started. =p
But yea, 2.8.10 for Mac OSX it isn't at GIMP's fileserver. Highest version available there is 2.8.4 for Mac OSX
The windows 2.8.10 is present though.
I'm quite happy with 2.8.2 still. I just hope GIMP will support apng soon enough.
It still seems to be the last stable release any way =p

Lol, but we want Deb packages for debian <.<
I'll just wait unstill it's official released for debian (unless some ultra cool new feature gets implanted)

You always can install it from official sources. On any Linux distribution.
I don't know about Debian packages because I don't use Debian now.
Installed on Ubuntu 12.04 - works fine (from that ppa repo). I test it on myself.

For Ubuntu and derivate there's this PPA which does a good support.

For Debian there's still nothing since 2.8.6...
I will try to compile it now, I wonder if it's easy to create a .deb package, maybe I can share it too if I do it...
