While trying to translate “terranite ore”, I came to the question: “What is terranite ore?” Is it just some rare mineral that the terranites mine and then drop, or does it actually come from the terratines' body? (I've always assumed it was the latter.) While at it – are terranites known to be fleshy creatures wearing armour, or can their body very well largely consist of minerals? Any insight on this is appreciated!

(The wiki has an article on terranites, but the information presented there doesn't seem to have any weight added to it.)

Although I have no way of knowing for certain, Terranites might be related to the Horta.

It was made at a time in the game's history when lore wasn't being created along with the content. Would probably need some reconsideration about the whole thing.

I guess by following this logic, Terranites are granite beings animated by magic and thus the "ore" is indeed part of them.

From what I gather from these topics, it is something:
- egyptian
- semi polished granite that was enchanted to be very light
- concept art made by Platyna
- earth elemental

Thanks to everyone for their valuable opinions, knowledge, and tidbits; and specially to EJlol for the historical threads! I believe terranite ore should thus be treated as a part of the terranites, for translation purposes.
