Since the move to azure I cant login from time to time. Sometimes it works, and a few hours later when I want to login again, manaplus gets stuck at the getting characters screen. If I then try again sometimes later it works again. Anybody else seeing this issue?

this is a known and very old issue, totally unrelated to azure

I'll look into it this week

{c0ef729} should prevent char server from freezing and instead throw an error
{06770d4} should fix the underlying issue

I will apply the patch ASAP

the patch has been applied, so this should be fixed now
