Hi,
I'm working on a top-down shooter game as a hobby. Can I use TMW graphical assets in my non-commercial game? How should I give credit to the artists?
The game prototype is here https://rpgmaker.net/games/9184/

TMW graphical assets in Wizard apprentice Lya
Re: TMW graphical assets in Wizard apprentice Lya
Hello Irog, as long as your game uses a license that is compatible with GPLv2 and as long as you give credit to the original artist (and preserve the CC BY-SA license) there shouldn't be any problem. Just include a file with the list of authors for the files that you want to use, along with a verbatim copy of the GPLv2 and CC BY-SA 3.0 licenses

Thanks for your quick reply Gumi !
What does the GPL v2 license allow?
Should the whole game (including engine code, midi music and graphics from other artists) use a license compatible with GPL or just the TMW graphics?
Can I gather graphics in tile sheets and character sheets to fit the needs of the engine?
Can I modify some graphical elements?
