Which one of you brainiacs can tell me if its truly corrupted or not. Better yet point me to the right version where multi window wasnt killed and monster magnet hands do not exist

First: 1.8.12.8 is deprecated

Second: That is ManaPlus, not TMW

Third: Insults (even if vague) will get you nowhere (usually people just ignore whatever they find insultful on not humble enough - so here is a tip for the internet in general).

Fourth: Did you got the APK from ManaPlus website? After getting it, did you check if hash was correct? If it crashed, did you saw why it crash? Your message is not helpful if there is the need of a fix, try also adding your android version and hardware specs so 4144 have something to look at (if you want an issue which can be only happening with you solved)

Fifth: The one who kills multi-windows is Android Memory Manager; We have nothing to do with it. If I remember correctly, it is quite sensitive against SDL. Windows sometimes also presents a similar behavior depending on renderer.

Sixth: What is monster magnet hands Never heard of

What you mean by vague. There aint no malicious spite behind that word brainiac. Its a light hearted poke to the showrunners here who have a clue of the gears behind this game. Got it, tried to install it, and was given the corruption message. Ok cool, i guess i will join irc. I cant, the service required a password now. No clue on how to register there, so i made this thread. I'll give you this though, i did forget to include the specs because it was late over here for me. If anyone else can try to speak to me without allowing their hands to cough out some whack as$ words like that dude did, that'd be great. Im on android version 7.0 do i need to provide more info and if so, what else

If you're on Android, Manaplus should be in the Google Play Store, and all you need to do is give storage permission, I've never used apk due to the possibility of viruses and other Malware...

Johnny boy, allowing permission has been on for ages. My client is up to date with the latest version from the play store along with the corrupted apk, i have 2 clients with 1 refusing to install. The other client that is playable is the latest, unwanted version. I may have to start from square one again. My goal is to be able to downgrade to an earlier version of the mana client if i wasnt being clear. Thanks anyway boss

Not an insult. Its an american word, translate it to something else if you can and it will be associated with supreme intellegience. Derogatory? Not unless you lived in the USA decades ago. It evolved along with the praise and recognition the game code wizards are getting today. I am gruff and informal, the best way i can type and speak quickly, excluding emojis. If this fails I would assume either a network problem or your Android version isn't allowing this game to properly install...

Never hurt to remember that you need to go in Security and allow installation of unsafe/dangerous/downloaded software.

APKs not from play store can be quite dangerous; So Android by default refuses to install it.

I can't really remember any common issue which wasn't mentioned here previously.

PS. I'm not from the USA. Nor UK. In fact, not from an english speaking country at all. So thanks by explaining what it means in context; Ex Literis, it means "brain maniac" which sounds like someone obssessed with software development. Maniac is an insult, at least where I am from.

Brainiac Livio here! Graduated at Computer Science in one of the worst side of Rome.
You better search APKs on apknow or even better using Aurora Store downloading it from F-Droid before.
Maybe Manaplus is in F-Droid already you better check there first.

I suggest you to use LineageOS whenever possible to extend your old Android device lifespan and to get more possess of it.
And I strongly recommend F-Droid as a FOSS application market.

Jesusalva and others here, you should already know that people comes from any side of the world and from any kind of cultural background.
Nobody knows what words sounds like in your country (except you and most of those who live there) and, by the way, ME SE TE YO was looking for someone who knows how to deal with IT he hasn't told that our mothers are selling happiness on the street. A lot of my old customers and workers called me "brainiac" but I see nothing good in wasting time telling them not to call me like that or telling them to go to Duck themselves because I feel offended as a professional. You know why people feels easily offended by even a deformed punctuation? Because they never met some real friends.
When I was in school if you got offended by everything or everyone you will soon get overrun by the others and nobody will really feel fine dealing with someone who gets upset for almost nothing.
In our little group we really got used to say really rude things about us but we used to say it with a smile in a playful way because if you got offended you will soon get fooled by the others.
More then a decade passed since those good days and now internet tied us together in a more sterile way.
You cannot see or even imagine if there's a smile behind what people writes on your screen.
You are not able even to see through words letting you free to understand the first thing that comes to your mind.

About getting offended, here in Rome we have a rude saying: "Te 'ncazzi, te scazzi e te la pijinderculo!"

Go into security settings and allow 3rd party installation yea? Read above. It has been on way before installing any mana client. So you tried to sabotage me by giving me a potentially dangerous link in game. Who is even letting this dude represent yall. Hell im aware of the threats android has and tread carefully. I've no problem installing apps not from the playstore before like mixplorer from xda, emulators from apk mirror, simple mobile tools from f-droid, etc. Oh i know you aint from any english country. Great looking app, but I find Aurora much less stable than Yalp. Aurora constantly makes me use a different guest account, and usually even that doesn't fix the issue. Yalp has never given me any issues like that, but looks like something from 5 years ago.

Just uninstall the disabled application and try installing your APK file again. The installation should run without an error. One of the above fixes should resolve the APK not installed package appears to be corrupt error that you have been getting.
