Personal Tweaks Thread

I enjoy the occasional personal tweak, so maybe we can share ours here?
1) e.g. bright stuff hurts my eyes, so I made 'cloudy day desert' tiles.

[Edit]I notice a lot of tiles still are using oldschool single-layer technique. E.g. a cactus on the desert also has the sand around it, it's not a seperate sprite on top of a stock desert tile. This saves some execution time in software rendering, but makes the graphics assets work a lot more time consuming to change.

All my personal tweaks have become official Moubootaur Legends mods.
If you want, can do the same

This is only half true. If you have access to the original file (.xcf, .pdn) it would be easier to edit. Sadly it's a mess to get these. Some are on git, sometimes you can the original artist, sometimes someone else has it, and sometimes they are just lost
. As for the reason why you want to draw a ground tile below a cactus, there could be several reasons for that:
- it saves the mapper time
- it makes sure the mapper doesn't place the cactus on water or some other weird tile
- you can adjust the ground tile, e.g. it could have a little bit extra sand blown against the cactus or something (sadly this isn't done much...).

Melo slow - about 10% darker.
On the dark desert i'm missing some of the in-town tiles and can't find them :/

I use redshift in the worst case. Usually at 3500°K.
