What about getting rid of the wiki?

Yeah, I woke up late this morning with this idea.
I always end most of the time playing my main alt just for being lazy not doing all quests all over again and I ended up with this idea:
What about getting rid of the wiki?
People may not like it but TMW2:ML for example doesn't have a real wiki but a collection of Markdown files.
Yeah, let's get rid of Markdown files as well...
I was thinking something like a guide already inside the game.
Like a magic book that you open when doing a quest that you aren't able to finish. If you use the book and access to the solution all exp and rewards are halved.
From this point of view only developers are able to put valuable information inside quest files, that may be a nice thing but it may prevent regular players to contribute.
But community doesn't have to take care about wiki server anymore.

Well, it's just an idea. I'm curious to hear what people in and out of development thinks about it.

Because that's awfully inconvenient.

If you look at wiki edit history you'll notice one thing...

...Developers doesn't write wiki articles.
They rarely write/update the ingame quest log either.

And while at that, developers avoid having to write documentation if given the opportunity. So yeah. Such item would fall in disrepair on the day 1.

A wiki in-game would be great, but until then, this will do

The wiki is an archive of history. It's extremely messy and often out of date, but together with this forum it tells the story of TMW. Also, it's where we park EJ at the end of each day.
