Clort was attacking and did not answer in the allotted time, a reset may be asked for.

I was watching a movie on the side and ctrl-mashing, not afk.
The default chat tab was also offscreen due to client having too many whisper tabs and me being in a whispered convo with another player, so I didn't see your messages.

I gave you 5 minutes to respond, rules say 3 minutes.
If you would like an unblock and reset, I will honour that.

There is a technical issue here. I could not see your messages because the default chat tab was hidden in client. This is to me, the more serious problem to address.

In other words: you have a rule that requires a player response to a message from an admin, but a client that doesn't ensure the message from admin is displayed to the player. Do you understand the problem?

Secondary is; what do you mean by 'reset'? Is some kind of penalty really appropriate when the manaplus client didn't display your messages to me? I'm not suggesting you did anything wrong enforcing the rules as written, but I need to chat with jak about how to address this problem in manaplus client.

FTR the client displays messages sent in public chat floating above the head. If sounds and highlight are enabled, it may also optionally produce a noise.

(And Reset sets the level to 1)

Above the head of the player who is talking, briefly. If you don't happen to be staring at the screen while or shortly after they say it you'll miss it.

If you are glancing back at the game window every few minutes, you'll miss it.

Does Reid have anything to say here?

you admit to watching a movie!
you closed the chat client
you didn't answer a GM after 5 minutes, nor
did you question why that Gm was auto-following you.

only explanation is botting!

Not sure what you want Reid to say.

Auto-following? I was just checking health periodically. Didn't see another player onscreen.

I wasn't running a bot, whatever you might imagine. If i'll 'admit' that my attention isn't enraptured by mashing ctrl for hours -- may I ask one question: Is yours?

This is not a discussion forum.

You basically admitted to botting when you you say the game didnt have your attention.

So, if you would like an unblock and reset, please ask. Other wise, we are done.
