The Mana World was officially reguistered on Sourceforge on 11/04/2004 - this is what we call TMW's birthday.

This year is special because TMW turns 18! Do you know what that means? Your favourite game can legally drink and drive (not at the same time) in most countries!

Wish TMW a happy birthday below and make sure to say hi in-game. GMs and Admins might host small events to celebrate throughout the day and this might also be your chance to reconnect with someone who you haven't seen in a while! See you in Hurnscald!

It's a history that is so long and complex that it would be difficult to sit down and write out a single article. Maybe one day I will be bored or intoxicated enough to go do that for fun...

I actually wrote a post covering most if not the whole story of TMW sysadmins (as Freeyorp teached me) to Hello=) on forum 23. It's... somewhere. But the story is long and involved, and I wrote just a summary ─ There are hundreds of hidden forum posts (forum 23 or forum 15), chat logs, syslogs and more specially regarding the coup d'etats which happened several times in TMW history (including those which never made it to public knowledge).

You would need to be VERY bored or intoxicated to even bother reading and learning all that, let alone trimming confidential or personal information (more due GDPR than NDA, actually) or writing wiki articles (which mind you, would likely be so big no one would bother reading after, my summary already had 3 or 4 pages and was A SUMMARY of only one of the three groups which compose the team).

It's fun to play this game. So many people would have thought.....
