Silk Pants Quest Bug

I seem to be having issues progressing on the Silk Pants quest. Crastur has requested an item to be obtained and I believe my character obtained the item a while back, however it has since been either lost among additional copies of the same item within my bank or sold a while back. This has created a 'soft-lock' on quest progression as I can no longer loot the item needed and I am unable to locate the item I did loot. I'm therefore stuck and unable to progress to the next stage of the quest.

The item isn't the problem. The Bandana Crastur wants is an ordinary one, and you have several in your bank. Any of them would do.

The real issue is a bug in the quest script: your character got stuck on a step where Crastur hints at the pirate task but never formally assigns it, which can happen if you leave his dialog at the wrong moment. After that the chest won't open and he won't take a Bandana.

We'll fix the script, but in the meantime you can ask a GM in game to correct your quest step so you can finish normally. They can do the following command to unstuck your quest:

Until then, don't show Crastur a Bandana. He considers it a fake and reacts violently.

Btw, some stats: you are one of 4 players in this stuck state (the others are Seli'el, Big Healer and moody), and 545 players completed this quest.

The bug was introduced back in 2015 while fixing another bug.

Thanks for the command, Bjorn. SpeedDuck's quest state has been restored and he was able to get the bandana from the chest :)
