I was wondering, if I opened a server, could I modify the source so that the game would have the desert as a PvP area? And would it work?

Because I was wanting to open a PvP server.

Btw, if I did this I would replace the dagger sprite with something of my own creation.

As far as i know it is a config setting in eAthena if pvp is enabled on a map or not. So you needn't hack the eAthena sourcecode.

Custom graphics can be implemented by using the update system.
