How many players suport in my connection ?

hello guys, how many players my server ( eathena ) will support in my connection ( 600 DOWN, 150 UP ), some friends mine says 32 with no aparent lag, what yours do about this ?

If you mean 150kbyte up and crush is right you can have 4608000 players oO

Matt, don't be so rude.
According to various posts on the
eAthena support forum the rule of thumb is that the peak upload your server needs is about 5kbit/s per connected client but usually much less. When you say "150 UP" do you mean 150 kbit upstream or 150 kbyte (=1200 kbit) upstream? And do you plan to use this connection only for the server or are there other things it has to handle, too, like your private internet usage?
But note that the bandwidth usage of each player depends a lot on how much happens around him. The higher the monster- and player density the higher the upload. When you plan to have only a few monsters on each map and design the world so that the players will scatter over many maps you will use much less bandwidth than when you have the same number of players on just a few small maps with hundreds of monsters.
