I just got the latest issue of Game Developer Magazine and they have an article about THE SIMS video game.
Just so you guys know it takes to make a video game, THE SIMS used:
140 Designers/Developers
3.5 Years to make
Approximately 39,000 reported bugs
Tools: C++, Perforce, Maya, Photoshop, .Net

That's a professional game, and the sims at that. I also get GDmag, it was a good article.

I just thought it might be interested for some to know what the "pros" put into making a game.
My favorite part of GDM is the Postmodem article in each issue. It's always interesting to read about other people's mistakes and successes when making a game of any size.
If if this isn't a "pro" game lots of the information in those articles are very useful for sure.
