You don't have to care OpenLayer just type make && make install and you should be ready to go.

i saw that with guichan too but used older version...that version the site says may cause troubles...in slightly older version get yes for openlayer for me.

There was never a version which said yes for OpenLayer, since 0.7.1 is the first version which includes support for OpenLayer. Anyway, TMW only needs "yes" for SDL, SDL Image and optionally OpenGL (though trunk no longer needs Guichan's OpenGL support).
