Please use the poll located on this page to vote on your favorite operating system (examples: Mac, Linux, Windows. Etc.). If your preferred system is not on the list then do leave a post about adding it and I will.
P.S. Try to leave a comment about why you like the operating system, not just "I like Linux...".

Where's
UNICOS?
I really like the deranged memory management models. Working with them is like a puzzle game.
A better poll would probably have been "What OS do you use in your primary desktop usage?"

I like Debian most. FOSS rulez

!
Why? Best explained with Linux != Windows, choose the right OS for your needs.

I use PcLinuxOS 2007!
It works faster than xp on my laptop with 256 Mb ram and Beryl also works good with ati M6 8Mb ram graphics card

.
I like to show cube to my MS Vista loving friends (with Vista's advanced 3d user interface and with new computers with minimum 2 Gb of ram so it can run normally)
I also like Linux because I can run it live from CD.
I also like Linux because when I reinstall system it recognize all my hardware and it works out of a box!
I also like Linux because when I want to install new program it is just few clicks in synaptic!
I like Linux because it rocks, and it has Amarok!!!
And a lot of other thinks!
Cheers!!
PS. If you want to see how fast you computer can work you should try Puppy Linux!

I prefer openSuSE over the other distros I have tried. My debian-based distros would always die when I tried to experiment. openSuSE seems to take better to compiling and experimentation.
