Hello, i really like to know if are any news about the Slash type movement sprites for the chars in tmw ?
This is a best movement for combat chars, and suits to many varieties of weapons, like swords, axes, etc.
I know this is very complicated, need rework all sprites, equips, etc. But it's a great need in one mmorpg or any RPG like game.
I see one animation in the past here and it's very good, but only in one side, have any notice about progress in this animation ?
Thanks.

Nope, nothing new.
It seems like Modanung has lost interest in TMW and noone else dares to touch his sprites.

it's not good ... anyone in the artists team not can talk with modanung and take his works and continue ? i think it's a great moment to complete this sheet, more time pass it's more time lost, more graphics it's added to tmw day after day, and if this sheet is complete, all work it's take only one time, all new graphics will be basead in the new sheet .
Well it's this i think ...

I still read the forums.
About the attack animations... it's quite a job to make them. Even more if the rest of the team can't agree on what they should be like.
I made some frames and all I got was criticism on how it looked odd. While I made them fit in with the combat system we had planned. Basically I'm still waiting for people to see that they are what they should be like before finishing them to be discarded.
Also there's a lot of work in progress stuff on a partition I still can't access, which I hope to be able to do in the near future. I think the latest sword attack frames are on it too.
And ofcourse I'm busy with work and social contacts.

do you use linux?
if you do, then I have a guide to "open" the partition you can't access.

You only have to listen to me

Yep in order to respect the combat system the attack frames seemed quite odd, while the previous version was really cool. In my opinion we should find a compromise: restrict the attack area and make the player animation approximate it, not completely cover it. This way we should achieve a good result.

Nothing to say, I understand, I feel the same since I have so little time to spend on TMW. What would be interesting is to know if you'd like to go on with the task. Since you're the only one, at the moment, who can go on with it we can wait, no matter for how long.
