Any pixel artists using tablets?

I waited tables this morning at a classy Italian restaurant, so I walked out this afternoon with about twice as much money as I had before. I'm considering buying a tablet, but I can't find much information from pixel artists who have used them, so I'm hoping to go straight to the horses mouth.

Has anyone here used one? Is it very helpful? Is it worth the investment? What kind did you use? Would you recommend it?

Yes, I use Wacom tablet (Graphire 4 ~DIN A5). It's very useful since I work also as desktop publisher. But it's only a tool, if you want be a pixel artist you don't really need tablet. I recommend rather good mouse. And remember - only Wacom really matters on tablet market. I tested once Pentagram - and it's crap.

I got a graphic tablet (only a cheap pentagram, but hey, I got it for free) but I prefer to use the mouse for pixel art. I only use the tablet for drawing stuff in larger scales.
