It must be possible to could remove the "trade with name cancelled" after you have blocked the person.

I had the same problem.

For removing, "/clear" should work. But it's useless when the spam continues for minutes.

I am not talking about a "/clear" but a client/server side solution - don't know how it works, but I want the message not to be shown when you have activated the trade blocking.

Mmm. Then you cannot notice when a friend starts a trade. Sometimes people forget to have actived the block.

Why not only hide it when the person is also Ignored. Most people dont ignore their friends.

Hi,

Good idea! Please try http://mantis.themanaworld.org/view.php?id=333 and submit a report if it works; I'm a bit tied up at the moment.

I had thought of adding a message so people new when someone put them on ignore like "SoAnSo has ignored you". But this has shown how that could be abused to spam people with you've been ignored messages. [Throws idea into trash can]

I kinda like the idea of putting an ignored person on notice. What about putting a permanent emote that appears over peoples heads when they are ignoring you?

So that the guy that is ignored by you can annoy you even more because he knows you dont like it? No thank you, please do not notice players when they are ignored. :!:

Definitely not by the chat system, but an emote cannot be spammed.

Example of what I actually meant:

Spammer: *spam* *spam*
EJlol: *clicks on ignore*
Spammer: *sees the ignore emotion above my head*
Spammer: You are ignoring me? Now I'm going to annoy you even more. Let's walk circles around your character. Let's shout to other people that I do not like you. Im going to kill/drop-steal you. etc.

Perhaps you misunderstood me. What I meant is that when you ignore someone they are ignored, I'm not suggesting a change here. However the person being ignored see an indicating emote over your head, letting them know it is useless talking to you. Disregard would not have this emote.

As long as the person you're ignoring knows it, that can annoy you like EJlol described. They can still do that without that indicator, of course.
