Wikipedia article about TMW.

I have recently started to developer Wikipedia article about our project. However, the first deletion template was put in first 10 minutes after it was created with the reason that our project is not "notable". Even if I posted quite a few reliable source to prove otherwise (including mainstream Linux distribution pages) it seems to not reach a person who has included the deletion template and his/her followers.
I think you should see the discussion:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia: ... Mana_World
And read the article:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Mana_World
It looks like free speech and freedom in general at the Wikipedia is just a myth.
Regards.

I have read your comment about eternal lands , you should know that the game is done with money from ANOTHER MMORPG wich isnt opensource but belongs to the same people , please do a research about it
Our problem is we are" poor opensource" if we had a big company behind us our game would be important even if id had 2 players and was Chocolate Cupcake.
Regarding wikipedia they are Hypocrites they dont believe in freedom just want to win money with voluntary peoples work from nice persons that really believe in GPL , i wouldnt want us in wilipedia anyway for ethical reasons

The problem with wikipedia is that the best way to become an admin is to get the attention of the existing admins by initiating and pushing through as much deletion processes as possible.
Wikipedia is administrating itself to death. But instead of solving the problem by comming back to their roots of collective intelligence they just administrate it more and more, like with the introduction of stable (=censored, IMO) article versions. It is just a matter of time until this elitist mind pattern will drive away all the casual contributors resulting in a closed circle of "trusted" contributors and wikipedia becomes exactly the opposite of what it was meant to be.
I am still using wikipedia as a general purpose reference but I gave up contributing to it long ago.

I noticed that since I joined Wikipedia (over darn five years ago not like the colored one with his deletion template - a year), there were less functions, titles and stars, and I miss it.

If it does end up being deleted, maybe we can get a mention here?

if you try to edit the page you will read:
<!--GAMES IN THIS ARTICLE ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE AN ARTICLE ON WIKIPEDIA. GAMES WITHOUT ARTICLES WILL BE REMOVED.-->
this is like a nightmare

Perhaps mentioning the projects that have branched off of us, TMW almost has a secondary use as an open source game engine
Oops nvm they are looking for the Wikipedia:Notability (Main stream B$)
Lets nominate TN‑X-Man for castration

So we just need our sources or something so we won't get deleted?

No, I believe it has something to do with our not having enough attention from any so called credible publications/web pages to justify being placed upon wiki.. (but seriously how much do we need) Its almost as if they are not going to be satisfied unless we are in EGM or something utterly impossible.

I don't think even winning that category would be enough for those vying for adminship.

Of course not they would just imply that we fixed the contest with bots....(possible or not)

Winning the community choice award could make sourceforge write an article about us which would count as a "reliable source" for the wikipedians.
it apperared in Personal Computer & internet magazine in spain in an article of linux games
(it had half a page talking about it)
It would help when you could name the magazine, the issue and the page number.
