I hope it's better now ;DMatt wrote:But the middle part still sucks and the windows stand out too much!

I think we got quite different definition of word "good". For me it looks unfinished.darkice wrote:WOW looks good. :D :D :D :D :D

Re: port city
Way to go!
The color of hull is a bit surprising, but I like it.
I guess you know theres much work left, but I really love the left and right parts, the middle one still isn't as good as them. Why do you use a darker color for the middle part, it looks odd.
Here some inspiration for my favourite polish chainsawseller:

No way, you mean it won't move like that?darkice wrote:and all you need is the mast, sail and the flags etc...

Does it necessarily have to be powered by wind?darkice wrote:and all you need is the mast, sail and the flags etc...

Please do not send me any inquiries regarding player accounts on TMW.
You might have heard a certain rumor about me. This rumor is completely false. You might also have heard the other rumor about me. This rumor is 100% accurate.
Re: port city
I was rather implying a more... fantastic kind of propulsion.

Re: port city
yeah, lets add a huge balloon and make it fly ;D Oh! Wait, that would be a zeppelin (which is nice idea, and not so hard to make while we have an proper hull).Crush wrote:I was rather implying a more... fantastic kind of propulsion.
Mast and sails sounds reasonable. I also thought about dragon wing shaped sails. Time will show.
Re: port city
More like the "Navigator" is a magician that stands to the front of the ship and manipulates surrounding mana to propel the ship
Re: port city
And here I thought it could be pulled by a walrus, or a small army of tethered penguins like a sled dog team.
"Too much of a good thing is an awesome thing, but too much of an awesome thing is, um, really really dumb. And bad." Strong Bad
Re: port city
In the early years, the magicians controlled a dozen walruses and one lead penguin. Centuries past until a brilliant mind suggested that the 'middleman' be eliminated.Black Don wrote:And here I thought it could be pulled by a walrus, or a small army of tethered penguins like a sled dog team.

Re: port city
There is one simple solution, easy to pixelate: PADDLES. Vikings boats usually had paddles and sails.
Re: port city
Eh, I think there should be sails... but that mages should manipulate storm clouds to fill them.

Re: port city
That's the best option so far, at least as a starting base. I'd encourage more creative solutions in a second step.i wrote:There is one simple solution, easy to pixelate: PADDLES. Vikings boats usually had paddles and sails.

Let's not get carried away here and let the artist actually do his magic...
