I'm looking for other open source community projects like TMW (as much like TMW as possible). I am considering researching the differences between the communities (with everyone's knowledge that I am doing so and the details about the collection methods and use of data given beforehand) but I need some help identifying other communities.

Though, what are your criterions on how free they should be (server, client, media, tools, ...), how much can they be different from TMW (game theme, game features, community feel, community size, ...) and other?

Edit: There aren’t too many games available to choose from, so maybe it’s easier to decide on the number of gaming communities you want to compare and then select the criterions after that.

On a second thought, will you allow several communities for the same game/project (e. g. as in communities based on geography and language)?

The only eAthena-based open source games I know are TMW and the many TMW forks we spawned over the years.

Unfortunately most TMW forks tend to die after a short while. But www.mundodosdragoes.com - an argentinean fork - is still alive and www.aethyra.com is yet in its rise.

only a little correction heheh, the project "Mundo dos Dragões" ( World of Dragons ), it´s a Brazilian project not of Argentina ... , and have 3 years ( 4 years in total ), and the 2D client it´s our concept-game, for testing concepts only, for our 3D client in developing. And the 2D client it´s really a fork, not a simple internationalization of the TMW.

And, yes, the TMW it´s the only original project using eAthena Server.
