Yes, it's a game made from ASCII graphics, and no, it is not from the 80s. It is still in active development and has a surprising complexity and game depth. It is an economic simulation in a fantasy scenario which plays like a mix between dungeon keeper and the sims.

other MMOs? or just any other game? other MMOs i play are WoW and just a couple other open source ones

I played Regnum Online for a while (about 2 weeks) for testing purpose. Same as EVE Online on trial period.

the only other mmo been playing lately is runescape, daimonin and a little bit of plane shift

The last MMO I've played seriously, was Helbreath.

Quite a decent oldschool grinder from Korea that one. Captivating and functional PVP.

RuneScape, Halo3 (Could be considered an MMOFPS), Guild Wars, Civ4 BtS, Age of Empires III, Age of Mythology.

Yes, I do prefer FPS, RPGs, and RTS over other games.

I did play Counter-Strike competitively back in the days. Tournaments were fun. I haven't had the time to hone my skills in years.

Since I last posted, I have found GunBound again. They just recently finally stared an EuroGB, so it's playable again.

Also Toribash is quite fun. This one I recommend to everyone.

Yes, another ASCII based game called NetHack.
On the screen it is me during my first and till today unique ascend.

Nethack ain't an MMO and why play it in ASCII when you can play with tile graphics!

I played Shadowbane for a while but I've uninstalled it for a bit - Ill come back to it. Anyone else heard of this one? It's pretty good and very PvP orientated.

Because the game loses 95% of its geekness when you play it with bitmap graphics. There is even a *gasp* isometric frontend for it. I have no respect for the lamers who make use of this abomination...
