HMC Event August 31

Hello people of the Mana World!

Do you want to find a TMW sweetheart? You have a chance this Sunday (August 31), 20:00 GMT in the Hurnscald (woodland village) Inn.

The HMC is planning to host a charity date auction, with bl (bug legs) and pa (pink antennae) as currency instead of gp, so that the rich will not have an advantage. One pa has the same worth as 5 bl in this currency.

The person who makes the highest bid decides if the bl and pa should go to the HMC Newbie Helpers or be sold and the gp given to Selim.

Both members and non-members are welcome to sign up as daters, and daters are allowed to bid on other daters if they wish to. You don't need to have signed up as dater to bid though.

You can sign up by replying to this forum thread or by sending an e-mail to theholymanaclan@gmail.com, subject Event August 31. Please include the following information:

• Name of the character
• Character's level
• Character's gender
• Character's hobbies
• Character's romantic preferences (other-gender only, same-gender only, or open to both)

If the preference is other-gender only, bids from characters of the same gender will be ignored, and if same-gender only, bids from the other gender will be ignored.

There will be some nice romance-friendly items for all the daters and bidders.

The HMC can not be held responsible for what happens during the dates, but here's some general advice about dating:

• Avoid any sexual remarks. Even if it's meant as a compliment, your date might be offended, especially if it's only the first date.
• Don't be rude if you find that you don't like the person. Just say that you don't think you're interested in a second date.
• Should it happen that your date abuses you, try to get some proof (screenshots) and then ignore or disregard the person (right-click on the person and choose disregard or ignore).

It's for fun. People sign up as bachelors/spinsters and then we have an auction where people can make bids (in bug legs and pink antennae) to have a tmw date with one of them. The bug legs and pink antennae go to either the newbie helpers or to Selim.

Thanks to all who signed up for this event, and all who attended it!

We got 100 pa and 85 bl for the newbie helpers. For Selim, we got 101 pa which means 505 gp, so 1000 gp will be given to him, and maybe a little more.
