Umm are the bots suppose to be there? If not we should get them off. As i said in my last post i havent been on in a while but i cant think of any uses for them.

Botting is against the rules, but it's hard to catch.

They are not that hard to catch. And some of them were cleaned up yesterday.

I was not talking about the one's in game, i ment the ones on the forums. Obviously botting in game is illegal

You mean users like "Google [Bot]" or "Yahoo [Bot]" which appear in the list of currently online users from time to time?

These bots are very useful because they help search engines to index the forum and thus improve our page ranking and the relevance of the pages we link to on the forum. Also note that they don't really have accounts. When the forum identifies an unregistred user as a bot from a popular search engine by its user agent string it just shows this information in the online users list.

Also I am quite frequently connecting automoderator to forums. ;)
