A player who wants to stay anonymous, gave me the tip that player soldado has been botting.
To proof it, he sent me the screenshots posted below.

Anyone who might be able to confirm that soldado has been botting, please take your chance to confirm it here!

Why don't you go there and check it out yourself, see if you can catch him botting

I can't go checking, because the player who told me took those screenshots some days ago.

And he says soldado stopped botting now, plus he wasn't online when I checked.
He probably got an unfairly high level by botting and would have to be punished for it if the case can be confirmed (for those who think he might not deserv any punishment ;) ).

Yes, Soldado used to bot in the mines all the time and occasionally in the ice cave. I haven't seen him doing this for some time though.

EDIT:Just wanted to add..... I don't think you should just take someone's word when it comes to botting(including mine). Some proof should be provided. Unfortunately I've deleted all my screenshots of Soldado. Admin: feel free to delete this post if you wish.

It is not going to happen Crush, would be plain annoying for everyone.

Why anyone would like to be anonymous? You are afraid of bot's revenge? It will come to you while you are sleeping?
Anyway if you want to make a bot anonymously create a new forum account, log in on it and voila you are anonymous.

Regards.

This is not a discussion forum. And no one takes screenshots into account when handling bots, any report is checked personaly by a GM. Period.

IRC is not for report abuse. The place to report abuse is here. Feel free to creat alternate forum account if you are afraid of revenge for your report.

Regards.

ADD: If we had some screenshots with the chat text ("hello?" etc.) still above a player's head it might be more of a prove than this one.

It's ridiculous that a GM should even consider a 2nd party's screenshot as evidence.

Will the GM's believe screenshots taken from private servers are official server screenshots?

No, not as evidence that will make us ban him immediately, but as information.

When you want to get rid of a botter the best thing you can do is reporting the bot on IRC. The GMs monitor the IRC channels regularily even when not in the game, so they will check the suspect as soon as they have time.

When reporting a bot you should mention the name of the character and the map (you can get the name of the map you are on by writing "/where" in the chat).

I got the info of the named bot via irc!
And
1. I will always listen to people who talk to me via irc (if I am online)!
2. Through this thread, I wanted to collect further information!

But I suppose I have to do it unofficially.
Therefore I ask you to send me information via PM or irc ("Katze_")

Kind regards,

Katze
