Um...is it just me, or do those drops make no sense? I mean yeah, maggot slime and scorpion stingers, sure, but cactus drinks and cake and gingerbread men? A knife dropped by something that doesn't use one? Seems a bit...random.

-_- well, actualy that makes complete sense, what you just said, BUT lets take the wierd way out... why does a poring drop a knife...? and empty bottle? thats from RO if u ever played... i guess its a bit harder but i think that jellys should be able to absorb items (loot) BUT in a dungeon there r too many, so therefore they dont loot, but act as if they did

Duh, it's because it ate the knife before hand. Anyone who plays RPGs knows that amorphs are bound to drop almost anything they could have rolled over in the past. That usually includes a weapon or two. My real question would be why it has a gingerbread man, which it would have digested long ago (not that you have to answer that).
The Mana World System Coordinator.
View the Systems
So what does the systems coordinator actually do? My job is to take your ideas for TMW and build them into working aspects of gameplay that can be implemented by the artists and programmers. If there's anything you think we can do better or differently, let me know.

Yeah, but in the stuff I've played most of (old school tabletops), what the amorphs absorbed, the amorphs digested, so the knife would be gone too.

And anyway, that still leaves the oddity of scorpions dropping shirts and maggots dropping cake and what have you...don't think I'd eat a cake that I got from a maggot.

Just a note to all of you people: We're basically a pre alpha tech demo at the moment.. So yeah, it can defy your logic, but rest assured that we're heading in a more logical direction, in a direction where things could actually make sense.. :)

Yeah I just made some random associations between items and monsters, but the lack of monsters make it impossible to drop all the items we want. The alternative solution would be buy everything in shops, but I don't like this solution too much. I hope the situation will improve with time...
