I was trying to do the trick or treat magic, when I got a message saying that my server connection was lost. When I try to log in, it is telling me that I have been banned. Can someone please explain what happened?

That spell was disabled a while ago. If you say too much too quickly, you will be automatically banned for it. You account should be available after an hour.
