Hate to sound like a newb, but any chance I can be helped?

I was unaware as to my inventories full-ness until it was too late. I gave Kahfir the 10 snake skins, and since my inventory was full he dropped the stinger, I then went to drop an item, but the stinger disappeared right before I could grab it. Can I be given a replacement since it disappeared, or am I destined to live without finishing this quest? Any help is appreciated.

Make a new character (on seperate acount), level it up to lvl 60, aqcuire the stinger, trade it with original character.

Alternatively, how much would you be willing to pay for the stinger I've got on "HMC potion brewer"?
