I entered a cave northwest of Dimond's Cove and across the river. It said I heard a noise and got scared. When I got outside the cave my character was unable to move. I've reloaded the game and still the same problem.

Are you using the mouse to move or the keyboard? If you are using the mouse, try the keyboard instead. That area causes problems for older clients when they try to use the mouse.

I can do just about anything but move. I was able to trade with another player. I can sit. I just can't move. I have tried with the both the mouse and the keyboard. No luck.

Do you have anything in your custom data folder (~/.tmw/customdata)? If so, try again without it.

I have no customdata folder.

Post your character name and try to stay in the game until a GM reads this and warps you out.

Character name is Skotikus.

So I started another character (Chuzzlewit) and he's stuck now, too. Near the same spot, but not down in the depression by the cave. I came there to show somebody where I was stuck. I logged out and logged back in under the original character (Skotikus) and then when I logged back in with Chuzzlewit he was stuck too!

I would love to continue to play this game, but if I can't resolve this issue I'll probably spend my time elsewhere. Thanks in advance if you can help me.

Which client version are you using?

This is what was installed through the kubuntu 8.10 repository.

Try letting someone else log in for you and see if he can move.

Your character can only be moved to another location when it is in the game.
