Shades, angles, views, palettes... . Good!
Trying to adapt myself to draw rules, I repaint with shades Gladiator Helment following the rules you remember me. It looks like this...

Still dont get a good back view. Im a little confusing with perspectives, but maybe time helps me.

EDIT (to avoid doble-post)
--------------------------------------------------
I fix Pachua Hat again trying to follow the suggestions about 45º angle in views.
Every new concept makes me confuse more and more :? , but there´s the result now:

The side view consistency issue of the Pachua headpiece seems to be corrected now.
This message used to be meaningful.

Im glad to see now the differences. I was thinking in do a full set for the hats, maybe indian wear and other armors based on gladiator helmet. When I learn the correct way to shade and color those pixels maybe I share them....
While "level up", I will try to play a little to dont get bored.

Supercool hats, but I think that the perspective of the chef ht is a little wrong in the picture where it is viewed from behind. The distance (in pixels) between the head band and the feathers should be longer, because the feathers are placed in the front head.

I tried to fix it myself, but as you can see I am not a great pixel artist :)

Thanks for your time niels.ellegaard, the idea is clear now, I will try to apply your suggestion on my 'free' time.
Fix File = Image
On last days I was fixing gladiator helmet on front and back views. I try with the following, not sure if is better or no.

RE-EDIT

I got a new idea, do homes for indian people and become Pachua hat in a generic hat for tribe (supossing that Chief has more feathers than rest). It´s just a sketch full of errors, but there is:

Haha, I'd still love to see that animated though! :-)

Great starts on your other pieces though, I hope you can finish them so that we can put them in the game. The pachua and gladiator hats seem to need mostly shading tweaks now, maybe somebody else can help?
