Since the other poll was lacking in options, I decided to make a more definitive one.

So mine didn't have many options, big deal, it was just quick poll to prove a point to Bjorn, who doesn't care what happens to Windows users.

What? I use windows!! Lol.

I think the other poll was fine.. Sure it didn't have all these other choices that you wanted, but i'm pretty sure most use Windows, Mac, Linux, etc.. not the others you've added. Even if you think they are better.

More like FAIL, both threads state that Linux has a higher amount of users in this game than Windows.

Shouldn't Linux be changed to GNU/Linux? I say GNU/Linux when formal talk, and Linux when im or something... It's just because Linux is the core, the kernel, and the GNU OS is the group of apps that get around the kernel to get it working. Like glibc.

What if you are using Linux but not the GNU toolchain? (I am using GNU, btw)

Well, there aren't many alternatives to the ones provided by the GNU project, but you might be right.

When you have that impression you did not understand anything about the operating system.

The operating system is called GNU/Linux because it uses the Linux kernel for all the low level stuff (like resource management) but all the little tools and programs around the kernel which are used by the user and his programs to interact with the kernel are made by the GNU project.

As the typical example: When using the "Linux" system, try removing "glibc" (GNU C Library) and see if any of your beloved applications work. :)
