[BAN] plynpom banned for abuse

A character named plynpom is runing around in Hurnscald and bothering other players, by interrupting conversations and sitting on them.

I personally find this name offensive, and not condusive to a family environment.

the char called "plynpom" has been banned. If he/she had other chars on the same account, he/she may ask to be unbanned but then has to delete the offensive char. Otherwise the account will be banned again.

I don't think it was just the name, but also the acts.

Doorsman provoked the player into hostility. He has done it before. GMs shouldn't act like police. Real instances of abuse that have resulted in bans have been much harsher before this GM system was created. Maybe we should remove the chat feature from the game if GMs can provoke players into a ban?

I think people forget that this is a virtual world that you are free to come into as long as you behave. Having been a bouncer for many years, I have many people that thought that they could come into our establishments and say anything they wanted and do anything they wanted. I showed all of these people the exit. I let a few of them back in on probation if they demonstrated they could behave, which is what the GMs do here. Any time I started talking to people in the capacity as a 'moderator' and they gave me attitude, they were gone forever. If you want to act like a kid, get treated like a kid and be sent out of the game and back to your room to grow up.

GMs aren't bouncers, nor are they politeness police. Doorsman clearly provoked this player into hostility so Celtic Fyre could get a screenshot of it. This game isn't built to please narcs. People can leave the screen if they have a problem.

Granted i can see how some would take ofense to this name.. but yes, I have seen how people will instigate others to get screenshots of things.
