SFX

Post by dariunas »

Hey all,

Sorry, have been away and very busy for a while...

I've been looking at http://wiki.themanaworld.org/index.php/SFX and was thinking about doing some effects as there seem to be quite a few not there...

Is there a priority list? Or ones that anyone would really like put in first?

I for one would love more sound effects! Ambiance!

The list seems fairly accurate to my tired eyes, though you can probably ignore most of the weapons for now - All we have to use right now are fists, dagger, knife, sharp knife, scythe, bone knife, and setzer.

I think it would be good when every monster has at least one sound effect.

Ambient effects would not be usable for a long time for technical reasons. So I think that it would not be advisable to work on those.

Regarding weapon effects: One for every weapon category would be sufficient, imo. We don't need different effects for all the bows, for example.

You might have heard a certain rumor about me. This rumor is completely false. You might also have heard the other rumor about me. This rumor is 100% accurate.

Weapons is my starting point then. If you decided later on for more effects, at least by then you'd have an established set of sounds as a basis for embelishment or improvement...

Will post again once I have something to offer...
