Unable to connect to server

Post by theboomboomcars » Thu Apr 09, 2009 6:13 pm

I just installed TMW and wanted to try it. But when I try to register an account it keeps giving me an error that it cannot connect to the remote server.

I am running Ubuntu 8.10 and found in the Ubuntuforums some one that recommended installing the packages from Jaunty, so I did that, still no luck.

Any suggestions on to what I can do to get this to work?

This is from my twm.log file

Code: Select all

[16:54:06.77] Window::~Window("Register")

Thank you.

Sounds just like network problems or server problems. Still having them?

I think you are right about the server problems, I think my University is blocking the port that TMW is using. When I went somewhere else and connected to the network I was able to connect.

Thanks for the reply.
