Always worth remembering, but bans are against the person, not the account.
The "person" may include cumulatively email, IP, account name, writing style, and other data perceived by the staff (but not necessarily stored in a database).
In other words, if you share your password and someone misuse your account to break the rules, we won't be able to tell both apart, so the ban applies to both the account owner and the rule breaker. We
do not lift bans in these cases.
Furthermore, if the rule breaking involve criminal offenses, like pedophilia or anything which might legally require us to inform the authorities, the account owner data (as aforementioned) will be the one given to the police.
Therefore, please think twice before giving your account details to someone! If the account is banned, you'll be banned as well, even if you did not broke any rule.
If you no longer will play The Mana World, consider requesting account deletion at
data@themanaworld.org (or
legal@themanaworld.org) instead of giving away your account to third-parties. And if you believe your account was compromised, contact us immediately.
It is
not prohibited to give away your account to someone else, or even to have multiple people using the same account, but please keep in mind all the risks which this involve.
DISCLAIMER: We do not log chat messages. Staff discretion applies. Personal data from abusers cannot be deleted under the GDPR.
