We are sorry, but we cant regive you your equipments or money if your account got hacked or deleted.

You should keep in mind to secure your accounts. That means : Don't use the same account or password on 2 different servers. Using different passwords on all your account might be a good idea as well

Thank you for your comprehension.

Also, don't use weak passwords. (see http://forums.themanaworld.org/viewtopi ... =12&t=5068 for how to make a "strong" password)

This topic needs a bit of updating. Here is the current policy as I understand it:

If your account was stolen it's your own fault. You ignored the warnings and gave someone your password, or used "12345", didn't you? We can't get your items back if they were stolen. We can't undelete your character if it was deleted. Sorry.

What we CAN do is reset your password so you can use your account again. If you're lucky your characters and some items will still be there. See viewtopic.php?f=3&t=17737 for instructions.

We will also make every effort to track down the person who talked you out of your password and ban every account they have access to. This type of behavior cannot be tolerated on TMW and we do what we can to discourage it.

The other, often unexpected, thing about hacked accounts is that they will often repeatedly trigger our "this account looks suspicious" checks, even long after the account is recovered.

Always worth remembering, but bans are against the person, not the account.

The "person" may include cumulatively email, IP, account name, writing style, and other data perceived by the staff (but not necessarily stored in a database).

In other words, if you share your password and someone misuse your account to break the rules, we won't be able to tell both apart, so the ban applies to both the account owner and the rule breaker. We do not lift bans in these cases.

Furthermore, if the rule breaking involve criminal offenses, like pedophilia or anything which might legally require us to inform the authorities, the account owner data (as aforementioned) will be the one given to the police.

Therefore, please think twice before giving your account details to someone! If the account is banned, you'll be banned as well, even if you did not broke any rule.

If you no longer will play The Mana World, consider requesting account deletion at data@themanaworld.org (or legal@themanaworld.org) instead of giving away your account to third-parties. And if you believe your account was compromised, contact us immediately.

It is not prohibited to give away your account to someone else, or even to have multiple people using the same account, but please keep in mind all the risks which this involve.
