While I was afk for 10-20 minutes, just standing there and taking hits from aggressive monsters that could not kill me, MasterKenobi showed up, spawned 3 mountain snakes which killed me, and then he kicked me off server. Was I doing somthing wrong? I wasn't botting, I was just standing there, doing nothing, afk. It was about 4 hours ago tonight - you can check the GM logs. Are GMs allowed to murder players in this manner? The rules don't say that either of us were doing anything wrong, so GMs can murder players at will? Make a rule, and I will follow it, but giving GMs the power to spawn deadly monsters in public areas is total B.S., and prone to abuse. Can anyone give me some justification? Furthermore, I fear I am going to be forever hounded by GMs for complaining about this abuse, because are they accountable to anyone? If it is against the rules to take hits afk from aggressive monsters, then I completely understand, but maybe it should be stated somewhere. I thought I was afk in a safe place because the monsters that spawn there cannot harm me, but then MK showed up and murdered me.

Edit: maybe only developers should have spawn power?

I am afraid you are incorrect.

You were attacking in the corner one mountain snake at a time.
There were drops on the ground you did not pick up.
I said hello, you did not reply.
I spawned some mountain snakes and you moved, so I left. When I came back you were lying on the ground, I waited around one minute then I kicked you as I do anyone just lying about.
I then saw you about two minutes later killing mountain snakes with some others in a different area.

You have no need to fear being "hounded", it's just a simple misunderstanding and I don't take it personally.

If I caused your death in game, I apologize. I should have stayed around to kill the 3 snakes myself.

masterkenobi is one of our most reliable gms even to accusation like this, if you needed it, he would help, so please don't post about it on the forum. also to others please state this. Its only my imo but who knows someone els mite be different.

MK : always correct in the way he expresses himself and behave with others, respectfull person, a great sens of humour, and of fair and justice and so on...

well in 8 years on the net irc and so on i never met a so good GM... personal opinion

p.s. : i don't know him of course but that's what i got as sensations each time i cross with him in game or hear people talking about him in game

There is only about one minute between the snake spawn and the kick, and there is no record in the GM log of you going anywhere else.

You are correct Michard, I just walked into the next room and killed a few snakes. When I came back you were dead.

Again, I sincerely apologize for causing your death. It was purely an unfortunate accident.



Also, It has been brought to my attention that the practice of kicking "dead" players is something GM's won't be doing anymore. Unless of course they are breaking the rules in some way.
