just for a short brainstorm:
i saw someone talking about its hands used for an attack and had to think of something like spitting acid or so... i don't know if the technology of the game allows something like that but if it is possible, it would be really cool to just make the snake lord squeeze some acid at the player. If not I have also an idea how to make it look like that, but first wanna know.
As long as it's not about my eye...

(imo) i think is a good idea....maybe it can do both spit and/or attack with weapon(not sure what)..

what do the dev"s think on this?????????????????????

Try to make the black contour lines inside obsolete by using highlights and shading.

@ skipy: maybe safes you some work, i made the black outlines dark green.
if it is not ok, just ignore it

Other attack ideas:

Biting, punching, hand-held weapons, tail lash.

thanks Leela ....now it need some highlights and shading(can be done after the attack frames are made)...

Fother did a duel wielding scimitar animation, personally I thought it was a bit over the top.

I would recommend a more humble weapon, a spear might be good.

shoulder mounted sentry turrets and a sniper rifle.if not then spear seems cool, but look how buff the snakelord is . . . seems like a broadsword kinda guy. maybe a giant axe.

Acid, perhaps summon snakes (mountain or grass snakes depending on location), bites would be ncie attacks for the snake lord. Would be nice to finally kill this monster in a visable way.

This is a really nice try, however a bit too small and too blurry. Couldn't you just take the last spritesheet posted here and use the colors you used on your trial? That would be a really great thing.
