Retrieve my lost account..?
I don't know if you guys remember me, but many people called me Red back when I played in pre-alpha. I had a mule account but when I type in my username, it says it is an invalid user id. does anyone know why?

I think they delete accounts that haven't been active every 6 months.

And we're still pre-alpha.
Sorry about the cleaning, but it's one of the things keeping the crappy excuse of a temporary server we have alive.

We don't like clearing out old accounts, but it is a requirement for eA.Addex wrote:Same thing happened me dude, i feel your pain.Redemption wrote:I don't know if you guys remember me, but many people called me Red back when I played in pre-alpha. eA stores accounts (and everything else) on flat files. It rewrites these files every x number of seconds (currently 20 seconds). This is so if the game crashes not much will be lost.
Sadly, the flatfile gets rather large, and bogs down the server from all the rewrites. So we must decrease the size of the file to improve the performance again.
This will not be a issue when on TMWServ since we use a database over a flatfile.
