Contribute something good to the game (programming, graphics etc.) and we can talk about it.

Sure, a few useless unobtainables flying around in the game world are a small price to pay when we get good(!) and useful(!) new content and new features in return.

You should not get an unobtainable ingame reward for small stuff like an inventory icon or a three line bugfix. But when you want something in return for something which really brings us forward, like a useful new feature, a complete high-quality tileset for a new biome or a new high-quality full body armor spritesheet I would have nothing against giving you any item you like.

Sorry, but when there is one area where we need no bribery to find people to help it's mapping. It is in fact the only area of development where we have to turn people down to avoid uncontrolled growth of the world.

Yeah... I thought mapping was too easy. Okay, give me a pixelling job. A tileset, eh? I'll try. What kind of region? We have desert and forest... so what next? A volcano? Black with lava and stuff? Spooky ghost forest?
I'm going to work on the latter for now. Once I've done a bit I'll make a Graphics Development [WIP] thread about it.
Please reply if you don't want this and have another project for me.

~of course, most of those weapons have +??? attack, so I'd need to give it say... +200?

With the addition of underclothes being made unequippable, yes.

I honestly would love to contribute the problem is I openly admit I suck with graphics and I'm not a programmer. However, creativity is one of my strong points I run a on-line poetry community. Maybe I could team up with someone who is good with graphics and I could write some new quality quests for the game. I know you mentioned new bosses so maybe that's a place I could start. Would that be a worthy contribution? I can provide samples of my writing if interested :D

Bribing people is not a good way to go, I think... instead might I suggest that you set goals and when those goals have been achieved hold an event in game to celebrate this.

I've designed a quest. It needs a bit of work, though, and I need to art a couple of NPCs and a reward item, code the NPC dialogs and also the bonuses the item gives. I'd like to know what the devs think (they may not like it) but I'm not sure how to tell them without spoiling the quest for players.

~off to fill in some gaps,
