No, the GMs are players too. It is a volunteer position and they should have the freedom to wear the items that they have worked hard to get.

Although it would be cool if maybe there were a button to show who the current online GMs are, in case they are needed for something. Just a thought.

you should know GM's names.

GMs already wear the hat (and optionally the robe) when they do GM actions. Clients 0.0.29 and above have the ability to highlight GMs; the server doesn't have the code but it can easily be added to activate when they put on the hat.

they have all right to play as know players
and all right as they are recognize by the community and given power to enforce rules

GM's are players like the rest of us, and I doubt they would want to be forced into a certain outfit anymore than the rest of use would want to be forced to wear a standard uniform.

Outfits are how the GM's stand out from each other and express their own personality.

Regarding the "uniform" (GM cap and GM robe) I personally think that when we are not on "duty" we should not wear that uniform. As example, when I am hunting I am doing it in my normal clothes (see my forum avatar). But when someone is asking me as a GM and not as a player, I put the robe and cap on.

I am really encouraging new players to read all the documentation that is relevant to the game (wiki and the rules in Tulimshar are the most important ones).

For the which GM is online question, most of us are not visible on the online list for numerous reasons. Basically, the community should behave even without any GM online. If you need a GM, try the command @wgm [your message here]. That command send a whisper to all the online GMs.

First, I didn't mean to sound like one person that behaves properly only when he sees a "policeman" or in this case, a GM. I always behave very well and I have nothing to fear. And I think GM are to help other, so it is fair to know where they are when one needs help

Second, I didn't mean to say they should wear the same clothes. What I meant was their clothes could have the symbol GM. Not only one change, but more if not all...

Third, I wanted to say that because I was suddenly banned for no apparent reason... and trying to find out why I was banned, I looked for a GM all around the Mana World by using another username and character. But I failed in finding one. Fortunately, I discovered this forum and I was able to get in contact with one GM through this site.

finally, I want to thank for the information I was given here, which is really useful. Now I know how to try to contact any GM if it happens that I need one again.

ahhh, that can't be right. doors asked me to delete money found in bug. I'm certain GM Doorsman would have done the same for himself and asked the same of others.
