I'd really like to know what system you use for detecting spam. I've been banned because of spamming while I was using magic or in detail, trying to use magic for improvement to lvl 2 in magic.

Could you please reset the bann and rework the spam detection logic.

I have same problem, today I was banned for 3 chat messages.

The system will autoban you if you say the same thing three times in a row fast.

When the system is experiencing lag, you must be very careful as it does not take this into account.

The autoban is for 1 hour.

Than the system should be reworked especially when using magic. It is absolutely possible to use magic in faster ways. For instance when in a fight with a strong opponent and a not optimal internet connection.

I haven't been banned yet using magic, and I have participated in some serious healing in which I was healing about one person per second. (Really fast touch typing.) The key is going through the people, and never repeating the same spell.

It is fine to say this really fast:

#healing_spell player1
#healing_spell player2
#healing_spell player3

But don't do this really fast or you'll get banned:

#healing_spell player1
#healing_spell player1
#healing_spell player1

The thing about magic is that you should NEVER be repeating the same spell over and over again. You don't get any magic exp that way. (oops, that may be a spoiler for those you didn't read Auldsbel's instructions carefully.) So this shouldn't be a problem because you should always be varying your spells.

Never cast the same spell over and over again.

This autoban system as been put in place to prevent all the possible spam sorts. It is working pretty well now. So just try to not repeat yourself, not do the same spell too much in a short period of time and you should be ok. In the case you are getting banned, just wait an hour or so and the ban will be lift. I don't think that the GMs will unban you if you spammed since there is not way to know exactly what the ban was for (spamming, magic, etc.)

Sorry for the inconvenients that might cause, but please keep in mind that is basically there to prevent abuses.

I know this is not a discussion forum, so I apologize, but it is relevant. I thought I read that the magic spells were excluded from the spam-banning engine. Are they not??

All valid spell invocations should be exempt.

I heal spam poisoned people, never got banned O.o
