abusing language
There have been many abusing words that many people say so why cant u just make it so that u bleep out those words. It probably isnt hard to do and it would solve some problems. Just replace the words with * symbols.

Re: abusing language
They've talked about it before. People would just start doing stuff like "Hey B1TCH"

Re: abusing language
Censoring is really hard to do. And as Goku saidd, if we start to censor some words, players will start using others characters or symbols and we'll end with the same problem. Also, please keep in mind that this game might not be suited for children of young age, since we are making references to alcohol use and mild sexual references as well (aka the waitress in Dimond's Cove). Therefore, I don't think a censorship should take place, unless the offense is toward another player or personal attacks (racism, religious, etc.). Each player should be aware that he might see things he might dislike, just like in real life. In those case when you are dealing with real life incidents, you are just walking away from them or try to solve them by talking. I think the same should apply in The Mana World, unless the offensive language is really serious.

Re: abusing language
There's also a cultural problem. Different cultures consider different things to be abusive, crass, etc.
