I think I still like Fother's design best, but I'm not sure how it would go as a login screen...

~I might try my hand at one.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. Almost no finished designs so far, just a lot of potential in the air.

800x600 is quite big as to add a collage of multiple representative images from game.
Im trying to do a collage with the main NPCs, nature landscapes and monsters combined. At moment I had draw the half part wich includes forest/city stuff. On the other half part I want to add desert/sea/ice stuff and finally put some monsters on perspective.

Incompleted Sketch:

(as image is too big, i just leave the link there)

Your opinion does not matter here. Have a nice day. :)

I like pateame's and Spit23s version!

Spits23s idea is great and you can put more detail into it, but it definately needs more work, e.g. so that you can't see that it was photoshopped together :)

pateams way is nice cause it stand for the variety of the tmw project, but it needs a lesser "pixel" look and you should redraw the desert building.

way to go you too!

I really like it Pateame. All different areas of tmw put together nicely, shows the player a glimpse of the world they are about to enter.

Patame I like the new version very much. However, I feel that the foreshortening on the road should be fixed. Currently the road stays really wide as it goes back into the distance. However, judging from the scale of the desert buildings/waterfall it goes back quite far into the distance. Therefore the road should get narrower and narrower as it goes off into the distance. It should only be a third or fourth of its width by the time it gets to the waterfall.

Hopefully this opinion and reasoning counts as helpful advice. ;)

Your composition is far to cluttered, also I think you guys should start from starch and take a more painterly approach and think more along the lines of drawing a good outline first (once you have your outline keep it on a different layer while painting it)

or rather than painterly you might try for a clean vector look
