I get no exp gain from healing when somebody who is in battle with a creature. Especially the Jack O. I would like it if this could be fixed.

are you sure you haven't reached max (healing) magic exp? Note that magic doesn't give level or job exp, but magic exp.

that's wrong Jax, you should play the game more often. Healing a injured player gives you level xp provided that the player killed something before, in the case of jackos the last kill of that player was most likely to long ago.

So what ur saying turm is that u only get exp if the user has previously killed something ok this helps because i was with buttons and sugar when this was happening and i wasnt getting exp either

Can someone show me the exact algorithm for deciding healing exp gain? If it is based upon what the healed last killed could it be based upon the level of healer, the level of the healed, and the amount being healed?

It has something to with what the last person you're healing last killed like Turmfalke said. Maybe a portion like half or maybe even all, not sure.

But there are many loop holes if they did it the way you want Buttons, people could just set up mules to get damaged and then heal it..

In that case why not keep track of the last monster killed regardless of the time ago it was killed? There seems to be a timeout and after a time the last monster killed disappears.

"Hello Hurnscald. I killed Jack-O and nothing else since then. Want some free exp? I'll just stay here AFK for an hour."

In my opinion, no... as I understand it, experience that the target gains from combat is a factor for the amount of healer experience that is duplicated. Personally, I don't see what the problem is with the current system, and I don't see how the suggestion given here is an improvement (easy to abuse, as Crush implied)
