Hi TMW

Lately I got a cool patch and now I can, like many others, fast sit/stand. It is new for me so I sit/stand fast sometimes. Not too often and NEVER on people. I don't even sit on people without moving. Just a few special ones. For example my ingame husband. Ok back to topic. When I wear my bunny ears i always do this: sit - one step - sit - one step. I did that before I got the patch, but much slower. Now I can do that fast and I like it.
What is the problem with that?
Yesterday The Undertaker told me I am not supposed to sit/stand fast and called it sit spam. He said someone could think something dirty when I do that. He even told me that Wombat would report me here... What's got Wombat to do with it? No idea. so @ The Undertaker: don't try to make someone else look like the bad guy. I never read about that "sit spam" before. Not in some rules and not in the forums. Noone ever talked about that in my presence and I'm online very much.
A few minutes ago Kletreft said I would do this sit spam when I was "bouncing" into the mines and heading for skulls.
I don't know The Undertaker, I don't know Wombat, and I don't know Kletreft... so what's the problem?

First of all I wanna say, noone except GMs, have any right to tell me what I am supposed to do and what not. And even a GM can only talk and say "hey, you are annoying, would be better for you to stop it" No rule says you can sit/stand fast or bounce around. Spam is totally different. Spam is saying the same again and again.
Second of all for all the wise guys out there on TMW: Mind your own business. If you don't wanna see me bouncing put me on complete ignore or just walk away. No problem for me. oh and btw. If it's such a big problem then report me ingame. Maybe like this: @wgm Leela is annoying me with sit/stand fast in my presence...
Third and last: I always play fair and help people. Most time I just sit somewhere with Kill3rZ so what's the problem? Leave me alone you trolls!

Can anyone tell me in a plausible way, why it should be a problem to sit stand fast?

Maybe any GM could say a word to this, too. Thanks.

Excessive sits are ignored by the official server. Other servers might ban you for it.

There was an exploit a while ago (which is now fixed) which allowed people to bog down the server by sending hundreds of sit-down and stand-up packets per second.

This made a few people sensitive about people sitting down and standing up excessively. Not that people aren't sensitive about absolutely everything at the moment.

I repeat: I don't do it that often. And never very long. So it's not excessive. And the one step - sit - thing I did that before i got the patch and noone was even looking...
I'd understand complaints if I'd do it for a longer period. for example 5 minutes or something like that... on people or in the middle of Hurnscald just to annoy people. But I don't.

I personally have not heard a complaint, (and I am not inviting them either)

I suspect as you have said people are trolling to get you upset.

Sit -> walk -> sit -> ... won't get anywhere near the level to cause problems or trigger the auto ignore. As long as it waits for the walk to finish before sitting.
