I can understand banning for spamming, and I agree with it, but what happened to me doesn't make sense. Banned for a typo? c'mon this is ridiculous.
I was checking my magic status and I accidently typed '$abizit' instead of '#abizit'. Three times in a row (using enter / up arrow / enter). Three times, each time expecting my magic status to appear after the #manpahil delay wore off. That was it. And I was in the middle of nowhere without a soul around.
I like this game, but c'mon, you gotta agree: this is ridiculous.
So let's turn Evelina back on. Seriously.

Auto-bans for spamming only last for one hour, so I guess the problem has solved itself by now. Be a bit more careful next time.

the only solution I can think of would be to give feedback to the caster if a spell fails, along the lines of `nothing happens'. Of course players who spam by repeatedly saying `$abizit' still need to be subject to the automatic spam filter.

Evelina: `tmw' as it is intended and planned isn't up and running yet.
Evelina and Ceros and all other mages: Magic is tricky business. If you're careless it can backfire in the most unexpected ways. Spells not working because you are shouting the invocations or getting the phrases wrong, or spells backfiring and knocking you out for the duration of a spam filter auto-ban are all part of the risk that magic users take.

Edit: That reminds me that spells should perhaps become a little less reliable overall. Some more backfiring/unexpected random effects would certainly be amusing.
