How come some people pick up items as far as 3 squares away and not facing in the direction.

I can only pick it up using the "G" key when facing it up to one square away or on it. Or clicking on it one sqaure away if under a dead mob or running over it clicking on it at the same time.

Unlike us keyboard users, Mouse users have the ability to right click"pickup" items on the ground

We'll probably limit the pickup range on the new server, forcing even mouse players to walk up to the item to pick it up (which we should probably have happen automatically).
