It was always against the rules to bot. Just because someone thought no one was watching or enforcing the rules and got caught - welp, that's like someone in a riot thinking it was fine to steal a TV since the cops were busy, and then getting caught unexpectedly by a passing patrol car.

tl;dr sucks for them, it never stopped being wrong.

It was put in the client news when they got their powers back.

Correct. It has never been allowed to bot since the rules still existed even without GMs.

It might have been a good thing of me to make the announcement a bit earlier. But people were like: "Quick!Check the bot room!!!!" when they saw the coloured name.

And even if I had made the announcement earlier, I'm sure K2F5 wouldn't have seen it since I only knew I was a gm a minute before I was there.

just as I said: Bad luck. But not a GM abuse since it is and always was against the rules.

There are no warnings here. According to the GM commands @t is used when issuing warnings. So were they done publically?

Sorry I didn't log all the warnings...I will try to do that in the future...the log will be full of them.

about HTRN:
I don't even really know him. I do this every time I SEE someone is banned by the server without any real reason.

Inconsiderate? Hmm......... Inconsiderate like a baseless claim of "Bad Timing = GM abuse"? Or inconsiderate like the statement "I guess there are always exceptions for the right people." When clearly the thread you pointed to, says nothing about unbanning of a chat-spammer as being "undoable". Is this also inconsiderate in your mind?

Oh yeah...that topic. The answer I gave there was written in that strikt manner because that person didn't even say they didn't spam. If so, my answer would have been something like: "We can't tell whether or not you have been spamming, you will automatically be unbanned in about an hour." As I said: when I see someone being banned by the server even though he didn't spam, it can always be undone.

Actually you do have a semi point.

The news released said, it changed alot and included bad spelling and grammar, but it said, there is not gm on this server and NO rules will enforced.

That is what it did say.

Well first it said no gm, same rules apply, but that did not bring the chaos they where hoping for. So they they changed it to no gm, you are expected to follow the rules durring (sic) this time.

Then it said no gm no rules will be enforced at this time.

So you are right.

But "at this time" implies that it will end, which it did.

He was botting. What do you think would happen, he would stop once the announcement was made.

Or was it that he was parked there, and left to bot. And the person was playing someone else.

So the gms should have contacted every player personally and permission to enforce rules?

still does not matter. The time ran out. Period. It was gone. He got it. So move on.

Now about the spam issue.

but something happen and I go a warning for spam.

If i got banned for saying i love you. And a gm unbanned me. Where is the problem.

there is no abuse, only a person making a mountain out of a mole hill.

Gm are given powers, these power are to help in the flow of the game.

If that means a person needs a time out for spamming, then so be it

it that means a person needs to be unbanned then so be it

Both katze and master k. Have clean and exemplary records. Both of them are above reproach when it comes to using gm powers. I may disagree with them on policy and politics, but I can not even to begin to think of them as corrupt.

Regardless of who you are. A gm needs to be able to tell you to stop. I do not care if you are killing slime or spamming. They need that power.

If you are arguing that they can not tell you want to do. Please, reread any definition of what a GAME MASTER is.

Also about the warnings in gm log. I am not sure that is a good idea. Because it does not allow them the freedom to play who they are.

If katze see Dark Water doing something she should not be doing. Kazte should be able to say "DW quit it, put down the lipstick, and back away, or I will beat your little butt."

or if master k, says "DW all I ask is for you to put some clothes on." They should be able to address us in that manner.

But three gm logged warning should happen. But not all warnings.

then a 24 hour advance notice in server window would have been the way to go.

I leave a character on the server before the gms are stopped? all the way through until now.

By your logic, the rules always applied. Because I did not see the "no gm" sign.

Because I did not see the news update nor did I see katzes greeting! I was botting for 35 straight hours. But the rules should only apply when I read them.

another thing that is a real life law. Ignorance of the crime being illegal does not stop them for punishing you for the crime.

rules are rules.

just because no one is enforcing the rules doesnt mean that the rules dont exist. they still did. people thought that just because the gm's were gone that they could do anything that they want. well they thought wrong. they are the ones who choosed to bot knowing that this wouldnt last forever so they had the consequences. anyway the gm's and/or devs didnt tell the players to bot or to break the rules, they just wanted to know what is happening when there arent any gm's. it was the players choice to do it so its the players fault for doing it.
